Coconut Crazy

We recently found unsweetened coconut flakes at Whole Foods  in the bulk section and discovered that it is really yummy in our morning protein shakes! …so many possible combinations with various fruit and “milks.”

Here is a great recipe to add a little tropical flair to your morning routine.



Pina Colada Smoothie

Ingredients:
2 rounded tablespoons Whey Pro Complete or SP Complete
½ to 1 cup unsweetened canned or fresh Pineapple chunks
¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
½ cup pineapple juice
½ cup coconut milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
½-1 cup ice
Preparation:
Blend all of the ingredients, drink, and enjoy!

Green Pina Colada

Add a handful of fresh spinach to this smoothie for additional fiber and nutrients. You can see the Smoothie is GREEN but you really cannot taste it since the coconut and pineapple stand out. A great way to get your extra greens.
